Great experience and service. Sat our party of 6 rather late in the night before closing, got us our food promptly and didn't make us feel bad for being the last table there. All of our food was great and I would recommend this to people staying at the grand traverse resort. Don't eat at the resort it's bad.

Y U M. Fantastic meal, really neat menu - unique offerings that you don't see everyday and high quality food. Our server was so sweet, I wish I could remember her name but she was the epitome of hospitality! We split the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and Risotto Bites. MMM. Great sauces that paired with each. I absolutely loved my Short Rib Stroganoff - delicious red wine cream sauce, mushrooms, and plenty of Short Rib chunks. It was hard to decide what to order with all of the interesting offerings. Will be back!

My family and In-laws had a such amazing service and the food was so delicious Lastnight. Thank you everyone at this establishment we definitely Recommend and will return here for more Lunch & Dinners. Thank you for the outstanding Hospitality service & Food. So Good

The price is affordable. The beers were cold, affordable, and tasty. And my maple salad and side of seasonal vegetable (squash) were creative and delicious! The squash was cooked just right and the salad was fresh and inventive and tasty My husband's lettuce, chicken wrap was not as good for him. He wanted more veggies maybe ask for a side of shredded carrots, shredded cabbage.? his chicken was swimming in sweet peanut butter and liquid, which was tasty but too much sugar

The atmosphere here is upscale, but without pretensions. It's got a positive vibe to it and makes you feel welcome. I ordered the Smoked Gouda Chicken Pasta ($26). This is pan seared chicken, bacon, asparagus, portobello mushrooms, and a smoked Gouda cream. I didn't like the mushrooms, however once I moved the mushroom strips aside the meal was splendid. I highly enjoyed it. I didn't at first think the portion size was very big, but I was satisfied afterwards. The person I was with got the same thing and highly enjoyed the meal including the mushrooms. The service was very friendly and helpful. Didn't understand the wine menu, but went to ask in a cheerful manner. Overall a 4 and a half star review. I have no real complaints or issues so I'll round up to a full 5 stars. Would I return? If I was in the area, I would absolutely come back.

Food: delicious! Groups: yes. Tv/football/fun atmosphere: yes. Service: pretty good. We had a very large group and a reservation. It took a long while to place our orders. However, they were pretty good about getting it to us in a timely manner and it was hot. My salmon was excellent! Appetizers were very good. Highly recommend if you want very good food. If you have a large group....expect to be there for about 2 hours from sit down to finish.

McGee's has good food. I don't know that it's as bad as some of the reviews here state, as everybody in our party enjoyed what they had. The two biggest drawbacks are the customer service when you first walk in, and the prices. Nothing worse than a host making you feel unwelcome, but this one was unhelpful and unfriendly. Maybe she was having a bad day, and the other people we interacted with made up for it, but first impressions mean a lot. The food is also expensive. 45 dollars for a steak that was fine but nothing special is kind of asking a lot. That steak was probably 25 dollars anywhere else. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it for someone looking for a bit more upscale experience.

We went here for Traverse City Restaurant Week and saw McGee's 72 menu that captured us instantly! By far my favorite dish was the Ahi Tuna. The soup was OK. I'm not a dessert person but did enjoy both on the menu. Probably wouldn't get it again.

I hesitate to tip you all off on my local go to favorite. We go here all of the time! Food is consistently good. Staff is phenomenal and super friendly! This is like our cheers! Onion soup is to die for. Steak or Cobb salads, burger, club sandwich great as well. They used to offer a prime rib special on the weekends. I hope they bring that back! We love these guys!
